SILK SCREENING AND CLAY

Learn both how to both hand build simple forms in clay and basic silk screening techniques to transfer images onto clay pieces. Whether simple designs, text or your own drawings see the possibilities of silk screening underglaze decoration. No experience necessary.

WHEEL THROWING
Level 1: Learn the basics in wheel throwing techniques to produce cylinders with various functions. A range of decorating methods will be covered. Suitable for all levels of experience these focused workshops are limited to four students at a time.

Level 2: Expand on your basic knowledge of throwing on the pottery wheel. Further projects demonstrate the techniques involved in adding on pieces, such as handles and spouts. Underglaze decoration is also covered. Small classes.

PAINT YOUR OWN POTTERY


Drop in to see our selection of ceramic pieces or order from our catalogue for any special project. Choose from cups, bowls, platters,dishes, banks and more for any age group. Paint your own designs and personalize each piece. Great for parties or fun afternoon out. Once you’re done we glaze, fire and pack your pieces ready for you to pick up in a week. Call ahead to book studio time.

Bisqueware pieces range from $4-$40+ studio flat fee-$6

CLAY STUDIO DROP IN: HAND BUILDING AND WHEEL THROWING

Sundays, 1:30PM - 4:30PM
Need extra time to practice or create. Use our clay studio package...great for the hobbyist with some experience in ceramics or those taking our ceramic workshops. Come in to use our facilities and tools and receive assistance with your projects. Shelving space is available for works in progress only. Call ahead to book studio time.


$10 + gst. for three hours studio time,
$2 fee or more per piece, per firing + taxes ( depends on size of pieces, fee covers the clay and firing costs)
